GALLERY TOUR

Renaissance Gallery is located on the second floor of the former Christ United Presbyterian Church in Carnegie, PA. This beautiful structure was built in the late 1800's and features Scottish architecture befitting the ancestry of Andrew Carnegie. The inside of the church underwent complete renovation in 2004, and the entire first floor features Cefalo's Restaurant and Night Club, offering a uniquely excellent evening out of fine dining, fine art and a Vegas style night club with top notch live entertainment...all under one roof.

The striking interior of the Gallery is dominated by this exquisite stained glass window, immediately visible upon entry. Its rich colors provide a tasteful backdrop and define the ambience of the Gallery, featuring four panels depicting the Apostles Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Fronted by a large glass desk and upholstered chairs, you may just feel invited to sit and admire this outstanding PERMANENT piece of fine art.

This view from the main entrance highlights the window shown above as well as the four spacious showrooms leading off the main hall. The burgundy carpeting provides a richness that augments the colors of the window and combine with the showrooms to offer a sense of warmth, comfort and welcome.

Four large, open showrooms tastefully present the works of over 250 of the world's premiere artists. Each room is finished in neutral colors, placing the emphasis on the paintings, tapestries and sculptures that grace the walls, easels and pedestals. Located on the second floor, the rounded apexes of the roof provide enchanting alcoves, nooks and crannies in the rear of each room, and beckon you to explore each square inch. Overhead track lighting illuminates the art, highlighting each stunning image. Three of the four rooms display a wide variety of mediums and subject matter, while the fourth is dedicated to monthly exhibits which usually open on the first Friday of each month. Renaissance Gallery is owned and operated by Bill and Pat Jander of Pittsburgh, PA. Pat is the Gallery's full time manager and brings an expertise in fine art that spans twenty years. A lifelong resident of Pittsburgh, Mrs. Jander has also taught art appreciation/collecting at the college level. Bill is in charge of marketing and promotional activities, bringing over 30 years of sales and marketing management background in a variety of industries. Their combined vision for the Gallery is to provide fine, investment quality art in a warm and friendly environment whereby visitors and clients become part of their growing family of friends.
